Spontania Video Conferencing
Our Price: $900.00/12 month(s)
Spontania allows for real-time collaboration within all types of Organizations and Virtual Communities, and integrates the following features:
What is Spontania?
Spontania is an easy-to-use video collaboration tool that simplifies working with individuals or groups located anywhere in the world.
With Spontania, you can use the web to hold any type of meeting, share information, or present slides (or any media). High quality, two-way audio combined with high-definition video ensures everyone can be seen and heard. You can choose to share any document or application, or even share your desktop with everyone. Remote desktop or application control is an easy way to deliver impactful demonstrations, or for enabling remote support.
What equipment do I need to start using Spontania?
You can lead—or participate in— a Spontania meeting from a Mac or PC with an internet connection. In addition, you can join a meeting from most tablets and smart-phones by downloading the free Spontania app from either Google Play or Apple App stores.
All you need is a supported device (PC or Mac, tablet or smart-phone) with a camera, microphone, and speakers (or headset).
How many people can join a Spontania meeting?
Spontania supports a virtually unlimited number of participants per session, with up to ten video participants displayed on your screen at once. Spontania can automatically select which participants are shown on your screen (based on your meeting dynamics), or you can choose which ones you would like to see.
Can I use Spontania to meet with people outside of my company or organization?
Yes. External participants can be invited to join your meeting via an email invitation. The external participants simply click on the link contained in the email, and they will automatically connect to your meeting
Can participants join the meeting using a standard telephone?
Yes. Spontania supports both dial-in and dial-out capabilities for standard telephones (audio only). Audio-only participants can either dial the phone number associated with your Spontania meeting room to join your session, or you can add them at any time during the meeting by entering their phone number(s).
What types of applications or files can I share during a Spontania session?
Participants can share any application, file (including video files), or their entire desktop during a Spontania session.
Can anyone in the meeting present content?
The meeting moderator can easily select the capabilities of any or all participants. If the session is a lecture, for example, the moderator can disable the presenting capabilities of all other participants. If the meeting is a collaborative session, the moderator can enable any or all participants to present and share virtually any type of content.
What is a moderator?
A moderator is the person who schedules and starts a Spontania meeting or session.
Every Spontania account includes at least one software license for a specific end user, or moderator. Think of this as the moderator’s “virtual meeting room”. The moderator invites other meeting participants into the virtual meeting room to join a Spontania meeting. The meeting can be fully interactive with two-way, high-definition video and crystal-clear audio; [multimedia?]content can be shared; or it can be a straightforward lecture or a simple discussion. Participants can be located virtually anywhere, as long as they have access to the internet, or they can join as a voice-only participant using a telephone.
Do the other meeting participants need a Spontania account?
No, the other meeting participants can be anyone within— or external to— the moderator’s organization or company.
Can sessions be recorded?
Yes. The moderator can record the full content of the Spontania session (video, audio, chat, content, etc); or choose to record just the audio and video portions of the call. The recordings can be stored either on the moderator's computer or in the Spontania server, and can easily be transferred to external storage or CDN (Content Delivery Network) solutions.
Can other video conferencing systems join Spontania sessions?
Yes, any standards-compliant H.323 or SIP system can participate in a Spontania session via our gateway.
Can I use Spontania in a meeting room in my building, with multiple people in the same room?
Yes. Connecting a wide-angle camera and an audio conferencing peripheral (such as the ClearOne Chat series) to your computer can turn a meeting room into a video collaboration room. Your PC or Mac display can easily be connected to a large display or projector to ensure everyone in the room can see what is on your screen.
Can a Spontania session be broadcast to large audiences?
Yes. Spontania integrates advanced functionality to broadcast online events to large audiences. Spontania interoperates with standard webcasting hardware and content delivery services (such as Akamai). An Ajax web interface can be added for interactive webinars, enabling broadcast participants to submit questions or comments to the presenters using a real-time chat window.
Does Spontania work with other instant messaging (IM) solutions?
Yes. Spontania includes its own IM solution (Spontania UIM), however it is also fully interoperable with other messaging solutions such as Microsoft Lync, Cisco Jabber, and IBM Sametime.
